Strong Base Refill 60 ml is a refill pack of the firm base for natural nail reinforcement. It suits regular salon use and requires a Rubber Base foundation, just like the smaller format.

Properties and working characteristics

• Strong Base is a reinforcing base with a firmer character than flexible camouflage bases. Choose it according to the natural nail’s condition and the required structure. An adhesive Rubber Base foundation remains part of the system.
• For short to medium nails, the manufacturer specifies a free edge of up to 5 mm. The base is unsuitable for long or curling nails. Its medium-fluid consistency levels quickly, but the amount near the cuticle still needs to be controlled.
• Strong Base has its own gloss after the inhibition layer is removed. When used as the final exposed surface, the manufacturer allows it to be worn without an additional top; if colour is applied over it, finish the system with a suitable top.
• For levelling, the manufacturer specifies an approximate 0.5 mm thickness at the free edge. The base does not replace a rigid structure for long extensions.
• The manufacturer allows removal by filing or a suitable remover. Choose the method according to all layers in the manicure; do not peel the coating off.
• The manufacturer classifies the base as mildly acidic, with a stated pH of 5–6.

Application

1. Remove the previous coating, perform the manicure and gently prepare the nail surface without excessive thinning. Remove dust and thoroughly remove any cuticle-remover residue.
2. Use LunaMOON Nail Prep to cleanse the nail plate and the areas near the cuticle and sidewalls. Apply preparation liquids and any required primer sparingly, following the selected system.
3. Rub in a thin foundation of LunaMOON Rubber Base with a flat brush and cure for 60 seconds according to the base directions.
4. After curing the thin Rubber Base foundation, remove the inhibition layer. Level with Strong Base and cure for 90 seconds in a compatible lamp according to the product directions.
5. After curing, refine the shape and remove dust and the inhibition layer. If Strong Base is left as the exposed glossy surface, the manufacturer does not require an additional top. If another colour layer is applied, finish with a suitable top and cure according to its directions.

Precautions and storage

For professional use only. Avoid skin and eye contact with uncured material. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep tightly closed, away from children, direct sunlight and UV/LED curing lamps. Follow the directions and expiry information on the actual packaging. Lighting and display settings may affect the apparent shade.
