Lunamoon Opal Base 4 — nail base. Shade: milky white. Finish: fine shimmer.

Properties and working characteristics

• This coloured camouflage base combines colour coverage with levelling for short nails. It is elastic and flexible; long nails require prior reinforcement. Apply a thin adhesive foundation of Rubber Base or Fix Base beneath the colour base according to the manufacturer’s directions.
• The medium, self-levelling consistency is thixotropic: brush movement makes it more fluid. Control the thickness and architecture during application; the flexible material may settle slightly during wear.
• For levelling, the manufacturer specifies an approximate 0.5 mm thickness at the free edge. The base does not replace a rigid structure for long extensions.
• The manufacturer allows removal by filing or a suitable remover. Choose the method according to all layers in the manicure; do not peel the coating off.
• The manufacturer classifies the base as mildly acidic, with a stated pH of 5–6.

Application

1. Remove the previous coating, perform the manicure and gently prepare the nail surface without excessive thinning. Remove dust and thoroughly remove any cuticle-remover residue.
2. Use LunaMOON Nail Prep to cleanse the nail plate and the areas near the cuticle and sidewalls. Apply preparation liquids and any required primer sparingly, following the selected system.
3. Rub in a thin foundation of LunaMOON Rubber Base or Fix Base with a flat brush. Cure according to the selected base’s directions; the current manufacturer procedure for these foundations specifies 60 seconds.
4. Retain the foundation’s inhibition layer before applying the coloured base, following the current manufacturer procedure.
5. Apply the coloured base, distribute it and level the surface. Control the amount near the cuticle, sidewalls and free edge.
6. Fully cure each coat in a compatible lamp. Use the time specified for the actual product and lamp.
7. After curing, refine the shape and remove dust. Remove the inhibition layer if required by the next product. Finish with the selected top and cure according to its directions.

Precautions and storage

For this range, the manufacturer states a 24-month shelf life and a maximum of 18 months after opening. Do not exceed the expiry date or period-after-opening symbol on your packaging.

For professional use only. Avoid skin and eye contact with uncured material. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep tightly closed, away from children, direct sunlight and UV/LED curing lamps. Follow the directions and expiry information on the actual packaging. Lighting and display settings may affect the apparent shade.
